Loughisle Lady was beaten last time out for us but it was the first run of her life. Hopefully she will have improved considerably and she’ll be better here.
Robinnia is two from three over fences but she’s unlucky not to be three for three. She fell at the last at the Galway Festival but she was travelling really well before that. She bounced back to win at Listowel in September and she’s going in the right direction. Robinnia’s in good form at home and looks hard to oppose.
A bit like Robinnia, her stablemate Gamin Original fell at the Galway Festival. The only question mark is whether he’d really like the testing ground. Colonel Mustard is solid and was second to Echoes In Rain at Punchestown earlier this year. Colonel Mustard is a real threat but Gamin Original has fitness on his side. The ground will dictate whether Gamin Original can get the better of Colonel Mustard.

This handicap hurdle is a tidy contest and it’s great to see Rachael Blackmore back riding after her injury. She’ll ride Balko Des Flos for Henry de Bromhead but the one I like is bottom weight Jiving Jerry for James Barcoe. He was third behind Gordon Elliott’s Tullybeg (who runs at Cheltenham 4.05pm) at Gowran Park earlier this month and he’s an interesting runner.
Le Nouveau disappointed badly at Listowel last time out but did run really well here in July behind Level Neverending. Hopefully he can come back to that run and he seems in good form at home.
