Bath 13:00 – GHERKIN
Only 2lb higher than when scoring in clearcut style at Kempton, GHERKIN could be the answer to a tricky puzzle. Old rivals Coronation Cottage and Snow Berry are likely to be on the premises again, while The Greyvtrain showed more encouraging signs last time and Red Allure is of some interest on her first start for a new stable.
Bath 13:35 – MR BEAUFORT
Willoughby Bay is much respected after her Goodwood win, with the drop back in trip unlikely to pose a problem, but narrow preference is for MR BEAUFORT who shaped like a winner in waiting at Nottingham. Ridicule is third choice, while Miss Britain is open to improvement after shaping better than the result on her debut.[
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Bath 14:10 – BERYL BURTON
All but two of these have been successful at least once this season. The suggestion is BERYL BURTON, who claimed a first yellow jersey at Ffos Las last month and still looked on the up at Yarmouth seven days ago. A host of dangers is headed by Just Jacob at the other end of the weights. The shortlist is completed by My Boy Charles, Limited Edition and Eton Blue.
Bath 14:45 – CELTIC ART
Top of the list is the Coles’ CELTIC ART, whose turn looks near, with Millions Memories and Knowing the chief dangers. The consistent pair Carp Kid and Zambezi Magic are others to consider in a competitive handicap.
Bath 15:20 – IL BANDITO
Bath 15:55 – BLUE HERO (nap)
Never Said Nothing isn’t easy to win with but he’s still a leading contender at a track he has won at in the past. Mabo, Accrington Stanley and the class-dropping Fitzrovia all enter calculations but BLUE HERO (nap) is on a roll and he can complete a quick course hat-trick.
Bath 16:30 – ALEZAN
The vote goes to ALEZAN, who ran well in a higher grade at Kempton last week and is likely to go up a touch in the weights when she’s reassessed. The 3yos Just Amber, Actaea and Aviary (in that order of preference) have low mileage and may be capable of some improvement, while closely matched rivals Kenstone and Apache Jewel are also in the mix.
Bath 17:05 – URBAN FOREST
Bottom-weight URBAN FOREST may be capable of opening his account, as he looks open to further progress back on turf. Estrela Star is second choice, ahead of Percy Prosecco and Street Jester. Several others also have possibilities in an open-looking race.
