There’s only one horse to back in this race and that’s Bright Idea. He’s trained by Joseph O’Brien and he’s got a rating of 87. He’s four years old and taking on some very exposed horses so he should have more than enough on Friday.
Ten Ten Twenty is travelling up from Cork for this one. It’s a fairly open Handicap and there are others you can convince yourself to get behind but Ten Ten Twenty is the standout. He won at Sligo over the same trip and went on to win three days later at Cork over 7f. The course will suit him and Colin Keane is booked to ride which is always a bonus. He’s well handicapped and he’s my NAP!
I’m on Irwin for this one. Joseph O’Brien trains him and he won at Dundalk last month after a lengthy layoff. He’s gone up 8lbs for that but he’s still really well handicapped. He’s well in and he has a great record on this surface.
Mumayaz, trained by Kevin Prendergast, is the standout on form. She won at Down Royal a few runs ago and was pipped by a nose when last seen at the Curragh. Scott McCullagh takes off a valuable 5lbs which is ideal. She should go very well.
This is a tight Handicap but I’m going with True Conviction. He’s ran really well for the stable to date and impressed at Dundalk last time out. He just got beat from a similar draw last time so I fancy him to turn it around.
Designer Cailin is yet to win but she’s ran some solid races. She didn’t really get the trip at Bellewstown last week which was almost 1m. Prior to that she ran really well at Cork over 7f. The track will suit her and she can get her first win.
This is arguably the most competitive race on the card given there’s only eight runners. Marbling for Ger Lyons is always well backed but is yet to deliver so I’m on Joseph O’Brien’s Camdeboo. She will enjoy this surface after a mid-season break. She’s ran in tough races and she has the edge in a tight Handicap.
Palifico has been disappointing and I have doubts over her so I’ve landed on Ambitious, who’s trained by Kieran Cotter. Everything that could have gone wrong did in her first race at the Curragh. She is value to bounce back here.
