17:00 – Innse Gall
The recent break looks an advantage for Jaramillo now back at his best trip and he should have no trouble with this surface, having run so well against promising rivals on Tapeta at Wolverhampton last year. He looks dangerous but INNSE GALL looks the more solid option of the two, having run very well on his reappearance here and then held his form well since his Ayr win in August. Silvestris might easily return to form back on Tapeta, while Tilsitt and Starfighter are of interest on their C&D form.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
17:30 – Clotherholme
Zenzero is a last-time-out winning 3yo but there is a question mark over whether the blinkers will work a second time. CLOTHERHOLME, on the other hand, has been running well for a while and he appeals most. Starbo could be a lively one at greater odds.
18:00 – Peripeteia
This looks good for PERIPETEIA who showed plenty on her Kempton debut and, although bred to be suited by longer trips, should not be too inconvenienced by the drop to a stiff 7f. Burj Malinka is the most obvious danger but he has been off since disappointing in July, has never run on the AW and makes his debut for a new yard. Biplane has something to find on form but she is heading in the right direction and is next on the list.
18:30 – One More Try
Delahoussaye is at least in form but he dropped right out on his previous attempt at 7f and he doesn’t set a high bar on his form so far. ONE MORE TRY disappointed over 1m at Ripon last month but he had shown plenty in better company over 7f previously and ought to have something to offer at this ordinary level. Intriguing Lady is just that, with the hood removed on her handicap debut, and she is next on the list.
19:00 – Dylans Lad
An open race with several sprinters for whom a case can be argued. Hurtswood, Qaaraat, Due A Win and So Grateful are high on the shortlist but DYLAN’S LAD still has a bit of potential at this level and he should be sharper with his recent return to action behind him.
19:30 – Fircombe Hall
Khulu still has a bigger effort in him at some point and he is considered, along with Oakenshield and recent C&D winner One For The Ladies. There are grounds for expecting better from FIRCOMBE HALL today though and he may be able to register a second C&D success.
20:00 – Makeen
Several in-form sorts on show here and this looks a warm race for the grade. Bringitonboris is a solid contender but there is just a nagging doubt over the application of a visor as he’s disappointed in cheekpieces previously. MAKEEN (nap) has been threatening here in recent starts and can take advantage of his last opportunity off this mark. Mushaba, Emraan, Twisted Dreams and Pacino all have something to recommend them.
20:30 – Gold Ring
Bobby Joe Leg, dropping into a 0-55 and with a couple of runs last month under his belt, should feature prominently, while Must Be An Angel, Cool Dandy and Sestriere also feature prominently in calculations. The unexposed GOLD RING could take another step forward back at 7f though and he is marginally preferred.
