13:15 Mascat
Right Destination has become disappointing over hurdles and even his best form doesn’t set a daunting standard, so the focus is very much on the useful Flat-racer MASCAT, who is a half-brother to a winning jumper.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:45 Island Nation
Beholden won’t go down without a fight if today’s headgear switch has a positive effect but last month’s handicap debut was disappointing and his jumping often lacks fluency. Preference is for ISLAND NATION, who has remained in good form since his Perth handicap win in July and was a long way ahead of the third when second back in novice company last week. Arcade Attraction, who mixes chasing with hurdling, is the other key player but he might find today’s ground too lively.
14:20 Get Back Get Back
See The Sea is unpenalised for her 16l romp at Ludlow eight days ago and has very obvious claims here but also ahead of the handicapper is GET BACK GET BACK, who travelled strongly for a long way when second at Exeter a week ago and remains 5lb lower than when going close in this race 12 months ago. Wasdell Dundalk might have been scuppered by the good to soft ground when recently bidding to complete a hat-trick but he still ran well and, now back on a quicker surface, may resume his earlier progress.
14:55 Another Stowaway
Friends Don’t Ask is heading in the right direction and needs to be taken very seriously but the mercurial ANOTHER STOWAWAY gets the nod in the hope he’s on a going day. Tom George’s 9yo is still very well handicapped after bouncing back to form to win at the end of last season and has conditions to suit here. Recent Kelso winner Flying Verse should also feature.

15:30 Cry Wolf
Alexandra Dunn’s 8yo CRY WOLF proved his 50-1 Worcester success was no fluke when running very well in defeat at Uttoxeter last month and is likely to cope very well with today’s fast ground. Strike The Flint was hiked up 8lb for his Plumpton win and a bigger threat to the selection may come from Olympic Honour.
16:05 Jony Max (NAP)
A few of these warrant consideration but lightly raced 6yo JONY MAX (nap) went down fighting over 2m4f at Warwick last month and could have significant untapped potential over today’s new trip. C&D winner Legend Of Zorro is only 2lb higher than when collecting a fast-ground chase at Taunton in April and last month’s comeback run over hurdles was perfectly respectable. O’Faolains Lad and Dido also have claims.
