Back down in class PORSCHE CAVALIER has the best chance at the weights, followed by Symphony Perfect. Once-raced maiden winner Benefit is open to plenty of progress and warrants respect.

The top two on the shortlist are ridden by title chasers William Buick and Oisin Murphy. MIDGETONAMISSION has a good chance granted better luck than at Brighton last week, while Wynn Palace could respond well to the new headgear and assistance of Murphy. Solanna and Capla Fever are open to improvement. Wolverhampton winner Hurry Up Hedley again ran well yesterday.

Dropped in class with William Buick booked, MAYSONG has a good chance of gaining a belated second success. Fellow 4yo Lexington Force looks a likely danger if taking well to the new trip/headgear, while in-form Kodi Gold may prove best of the 3yos.
15:50 Asad (NAP)
Last year’s one-two Tomfre and Persuasion are obvious players, while Motawaajed has a good chance provided he transfers his fast-ground form to this forecast slower surface. It’s also very hard to rule out Able Kane. However, ASAD (nap) ran a cracking race from the front last time and could take some catching off bottom weight, especially granted slightly softer fractions. Sunset Breeze, who returns to suitable ground in new headgear, is the suggestion for second choice.
16:25 Jackamundo
3yos have done well in this race in recent seasons but there’s no standout contender among that age group, with Reverential about the pick, and the vote goes to JACKAMUNDO, who’s well handicapped and has his preferred conditions forecast after finding the way the race was run against him when favourite at Nottingham last Wednesday. Quemonda has done all her racing on fast surfaces and has to prove she can do it on this sort of ground.
16:55 Spice Store
Future King’s Newcastle win last backend, when coming away with a useful sort, reads well but he hasn’t been seen in a year and has been gelded. The market will tell a story with him but the vote goes to SPICE STORE, who should be fine with these conditions after a pleasing debut in the summer. Rhythm N Rock and Magnificence are the others with realistic claims.
