13:10 Serenity Grove

Having been mightily impressive when taking a Downpatrick maiden hurdle on debut last month, SERENITY GROVE should have lots more to come and can overcome his lack of experience to win. Off Your Rocco was impressive at Listowel and steps up in trip, so will go close if staying, while Ballywilliam Boy should have improved from his Listowel comeback and be involved.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:40 Top Bandit

Barbados is an exceptional recruit to hurdling and will be accordingly priced. Desert Friend and Dixie Flyer rated solid alternatives. Hurdling debutant TOP BANDIT is in top hands.

14:10 Mrs Milner

The potential for her to be a little ring-rusty on her return from a break isn’t ideal, but the conditions of the race suit talented mare MRS MILNER nicely and she should be hard to beat. The Getaway Star might well give her most to think about, while any market confidence behind Darrens Hope would be encouraging.

14:45 Weststreet

Gordon Elliott often does well with recruits from other yards and a tentative nod goes to stable debutant WESTSTREET, whose proven stamina and ability to handle testing ground should stand him in good stead. Bear Claws is an interesting player over this new trip, while Icee MBA and Buck Rogers are other live contenders.

15:20 Macgiloney

A fascinating affair. MACGILONEY has not lived up to expectations chasing so far, but he is a really likeable sort. January Jets finished the campaign in demanding company and will probably try to dictate here.

15:55 Fairyhill Run

Having been denied a run as a reserve in the Kerry National, FAIRYHILL RUN can make amends today and continue her winning streak for this high-flying yard. Chatham Street Lad is a quality sort and has won off a break in the past, but this is a tough ask without a prep run. Mister Fogpatches, Cavalry Master and Aramax are others who can give the selection a run for her money.

16:30 Buttons And Bows

Having looked sure to win when falling at the last at Listowel last time, BUTTONS AND BOWS (NAP) can make amends today even though nudged up 2lb. Bring The Bacon could be well-handicapped and is of interest, while Chesterville will be more at home over this trip and go well.

17:05 Keepthefaithinme

Agritime needs respecting after a pleasing enough Roscommon debut, but a chance is taken on the Gordon Elliott-trained newcomer KEEPTHEFAITHINME – hailing from a decent family. Arturus is difficult to assess on his first start in Ireland, but is worth keeping an eye on with a view to the future. Meanwhile, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see King Kali show up well at a decent price.
