This looks like a good opportunity for VOICE OF ANGELS to get off the mark. She can be forgiven an unseat last time out in Listed company and she sets a solid standard on her previous maiden form. The Algarve is narrowly preferred to stablemate Forever And Always to chase the selection home.

One couldn’t draw a line through any of these and a chance is taken on BLACK PEPPER, who is one of four having their first start in a handicap. The consistent Adelisa seems sure to run her race again and looks a big danger, but NOTRE BELLE BETE (NAP) is accorded another chance to get off the mark. Plenty with chances, but DUNUM might get his turn after being runner-up twice last month. He’s closely matched with Fennor Cross and Hidden Spark on the form of his penultimate run at Gowran Park and cases can be made for those rivals as well. Cork winner and third Accessory and Darkened have more to do at the weights on this occasion.

15:30 Stay With Me

It might be worth taking a chance on STAY WITH ME, who is closely matched with Crackaway and Universal Focus on recent Dundalk form. However, the selection has the prospect of coming on for that seasonal reappearance. Walnut Beach is another to consider having gone close when last seen on the Flat.

16:05 Anyonecanhaveitall

This is competitive, but ANYONECANHAVEITALL has been in fine form of late and he’s still feasibly handicapped on last year’s form. Call Me Dolly should relish this trip and could be the main danger to the selection. The well-bred Madonna is another to consider on her first try at this trip.

16:40 Duffle Coat

An intriguing finale, but the tentative vote goes the way of DUFFLE COAT. He is a Grade 2 winner over hurdles and he should appreciate this extra distance now stepping up from 1m 4f on the Flat. Rekero has the best Flat form on offer and Malawi is another to consider with the longer trip likely to suit.
