Michael O’Callaghan has a strong hand in this with his trio and SIESTA BEACH has the best chance. She was too keen when bidding to follow up her promising C&D debut but she can be forgiven that and showed enough first time out to suggest she’s a smart prospect. Heart To Heart should be capable of landing one of these and any support for the newcomer Knocklane Lass is worth noting for last year’s winning yard.

14:20 Stanhope

It was an encouraging return to form from STANHOPE last week and he’s notably well handicapped on old form. Teddy Boy should be involved again and similar can be said for Harry’s Hill who has been running well in defeat of late.

A strong looking maiden. Porto Ercole and Temple Of Artemis are both likely improvers stepping up in trip but they have wide draws and it might be worth taking a chance on ADONIS. He was only narrowly denied in a career best effort last time out and he could be hard to peg back from stall one. The Grey Wizard shaped with promise in a barrier trial and might be the newcomer to keep on side.

Very competitive and few can be safely ruled out. EXCUZIO JOE looked home and hosed at the furlong pole at Listowel until succumbing late on over 1mf in the race won by Sasta so could take a bit of catching back in trip here. Dangers abound, notably Mean Fomhair, Coill Na Sionainne, Petticoat Rule and Amazed By Grace.

In a race where few appeal, perhaps LIGHT FURY on a promising handicap effort at Dundalk, with this drop in trip likely to suit.

After showing a definite step in the right direction at Killarney on Saturday, PARKHILL DAWN can take a further step forward over this longer trip. Seasoned handicappers Lady De Vesci and Clifftop head the list of dangers, while C&D winner Jazzelle is also respected. Handicap debutant Arc En Ciel is worth a market check.
