13:00 Scots Gold

A few of these bring potential from the Flat but the selection is SCOTS GOLD, who is taken to go one better having been runner-up on his first two hurdle starts. Saint Riquier won in France last time out in June and is second choice, ahead of fellow hurdle newcomer and French Flat winner Allset.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:30 Litterale Ci (NAP)

Sacre Coueur is on a dangerous mark on her first run for Jonjo O’Neill but preference is for LITTERALE CI (nap), who has been in good form under Aine O’Connor since these cheekpieces went on. Une De La Seniere returns from a break having been progressive in spring, while Yeavering Belle runs off the same mark as when winning this last year.

14:05 Outonpatrol

The unexposed mare OUTONPATROL has run really well in defeat the last twice and is taken to return to winning ways this afternoon. The very lightly raced 5yo Undersupervision is an intriguing contender on this chasing debut and is feared most. Last year’s winner Shoal Bay was set to score at Worcester last month only for his saddle to slip, and he’s another key player along with the consistent Pink Eyed Pedro.

14:40 Canford Light

It’s very hard to make a case for Family Pot and Serious Mood on what they have shown under rules, while Fitzroy won a maiden hurdle at Market Rasen in April but was disappointing on his final two runs for Olly Murphy. Kilbeggan winner CANFORD LIGHT is untested at this trip but otherwise has a lot going for him on his first outing for Evan Williams.

15:15 Golden Taipan

The three chasing newcomers Torn And Frayed, Runswick Bay and Rapid Flight are all interesting contenders, especially Runswick Bay whose trainer Emma Lavelle is in fine form. However, preference is for the proven chasing ability of GOLDEN TAIPAN, who has been unfortunate to bump into some highly progressive rivals when runner-up the last twice. Tardree has done very well since being switched to fences and is second choice.

15:50 Dutch Admiral

The state of the ground will be crucial to some, including El Borracho who has proved so well suited by good going over fences of late and returns to hurdles off a much lower mark. Fraser Island has won on soft so the surface is less obviously important to him but perhaps DUTCH ADMIRAL will be the one, having run well on his second run back from a layoff at Fontwell recently and being open to some improvement still.

16:25 Martha Willow

Conceding a penalty won’t be easy but MARTHA WILLOW’s Sedgefield win has some substance to it and she did find plenty for pressure n the straight. Talk Of The Moon is a respected newcomer but perhaps the biggest threat could be posed by Irish point winner Peerless Beauty.
