Tramore maiden scorer White Pepper and Vocito, who gave Helvic Princess weight and a beating at Cork in April, are the pick on Irish Flat form. Loughisle Lady is of obvious interest as a sister to dual Grade 1 juvenile winner Petite Parisienne.

13:35 – Bite That

This will not take much winning and the well-related BITE THAT, a revelation when second at Listowel, could be hard to beat with a better round of jumopng. Upping The Anti has an edge over stablemate Helisone in terms of experience, but market support for Aidan Coleman’s mount would be potentially significant.

14:10 – Boghlone Honey

If fit and ready after a break top-weight BOGHLONE HONEY could prove a cut above these rivals. Listowel winner Tullyhogue Fort rates a big danger despite a 12lb rise. Influential Lady and Esthers Marvel are also worth considering on their respective Listowel performances.

14:45 – Walking On Glass

This is highly competitive despite just the nine runners. The tentative vote goes the way of WALKING ON GLASS who has been in good form of late including on the Flat last time and he’s on a workable mark back in this sphere. Good Time Jonny won here yesterday and he gives the impression he will relish 3m. Kilashee should be involved again in her hat-trick bid.

15:20 – Put The Kettle On

Arkle and Champion Chase winner PUT THE KETTLE ON is more than just a Cheltenham specialist, but may be vulnerable on her reappearance. Preference is for Galway Plate winner Royal Rendezvous who can uphold Ballybrit form with stablemate and subsequent Listowel winner Easy Game, last year’s winner of this event.

15:55 – O Connell Street

A 3lb rise for O CONNELL STREET (nap)’s win at Perth last week looks lenient and he’s taken to make it three wins from his last four starts here. Cerberus could be the main danger stepping back up in trip and Optical Confusion is another to consider having returned to form last time out.

16:30 – Western Run

Fairly open for a beginners’ chase. Noble Yeats could be a nice prospect to follow over fences this term and similar can be said for Slige Dala who posted a promising chase debut last time. However, WESTERN RUN sets the standard on the form of his narrow defeat at the Galway festival and his subsequent unseat is probably worth forgiving.

17:05 – Spades Are Trumps

This is a good opportunity for SPADES ARE TRUMPS to gain back-to-back chase wins. He bounced back to form after a break at Kilbeggan last time and if he can run to a similar level here, that could be good enough. Golden Spread may do better at some stage and the consistent The Dabbler should be involved again.
