Smart Irish 1m winner who arrives on back of good fifth of 13 in Matron Stakes (16/1) at Leopardstown 21 days ago. She’s no forlorn hope.

Lavender’s Blue

Trainer: Amanda Perrett Jockey: Rob Hornby Age: 5 Weight: 9st 3lbs

20/1, cheekpieces left off when back to winning ways in Celebration Mile at Goodwood by short head from Benbatl. Ought to be competitive again.

Fev Rover

Trainer: Richard Fahey Jockey: Jamie Spencer Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

Placed in 1000 Guineas here and she got back on track when second in Boomerang Stakes at Leopardstown (1m) 21 days ago. Has bit more to find here but she’s still low mileage.

Just Beautiful

Trainer: Ivan Furtado Jockey: Joey Haynes Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

Bagged her third victory of 2021 in Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster (7f) 24 days ago, showing a good attitude. This is tougher but she can’t be ruled out for place purposes.

Mother Earth

Trainer: Aidan O’Brien Jockey: Ryan Moore Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

1000 Guineas winner who has held her form well since, third in Matron Stakes (6/5) at Leopardstown 21 days ago. Another bold showing is on the cards back here.

No Speak Alexander

Trainer: Mrs J. Harrington Jockey: Shane Foley Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

25/1, much improved when landing Matron Stakes at Leopardstown by neck from Pearls Galore. Got first run there, but she still must enter calculations.

Primo Bacio

Trainer: Ed Walker Jockey: Oisin Murphy Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

Smart filly at her best who landed York listed event in May. Beat only one in City of York Stakes there last time, though, so she has something to prove now.

Saffron Beach

Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam Jockey: William Buick Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

Dual course winner who took her form up a notch when landing Atalanta Stakes at Sandown (1m) in August by 2¼l from Waliyak. This is a much tougher assignment, however.

Shale

Trainer: Donnacha Aidan O’Brien Jockey: W. M. Lordan Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

Still to add to her three 2020 wins this term, but she has posted some useful efforts, cheekpieces on when eleventh in Matron Stakes at Leopardstown. Has plenty to find on form.

Snow Lantern

Trainer: Richard Hannon Jockey: Sean Levey Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

Very smart filly who landed Falmouth Stakes on July course here in impressive style. Posted solid fourth in Prix du Moulin at Longchamp last time, and she’s the one to beat here.

Tahlie

Trainer: Roger Varian Jockey: Jack Mitchell Age: 3 Weight: 9st 0lbs

Smart ex-French filly for Pascal Bary who met with defeat for the first time in 2021 when creditable eighth to Mother Earth in Prix Rothschild at Deauville in August. Not discounted for her new yard.
