13:40 Richie Valentine

Although he crashed out (when short of room) with four fences to jump at Uttoxeter, RICHIE VALENTINE looked like adding to the C&D success he recorded on his chase debut and he is taken to bounce back with a win here. Chase newcomer Robin Des Theatre has the look of a potential improver in this sphere. She is feared most, while Raven Court looks to be on a handy mark and could go well. Support for Val Mome would be interesting.

14:10 Fruit N Nut

The presence of 2018 Queen’s Vase favourite Stream Of Stars, who has not run since, adds interest but the suggestion is to side with dual bumper winner FRUIT N NUT to make a winning hurdles debut. Brorson, Unexpected Party and Loup De Maulde all add to a competitive feel to the contest.

14:40 Coole Lion

For Jim arrives in cracking form but has thrown in a couple of below-par efforts this season. He is feared but the suggestion is to side with COOLE LION. Still going the right way when last seen over a year ago, he goes well fresh and may be able to continue his upward curve. The mares Massini’s Dream and Hoot At Midnight look capable of being very competitive.

15:10 Zafar

Plenty in with a shout. Hillview must enter calculations running off the same mark as when second on his handicap debut at Uttoxeter while Skylanna Breeze is another feared for his in-form handler. However, ZAFAR is thriving for his new connections and can make it 3-4 for the stable with the return to a stiffer test of stamina expected to be in his favour.

Surtitle is an interesting newcomer who could go well but, despite having found one too good when favourite on his debut, AT POETS CROSS is preferred with that experience under his belt. Minella Plus should also be involved.
