14:25 Newmarket – Albaflora

Albaflora was a good second to Snowfall at York when coming from way too far back. A performance like that would be enough to win this one. However, a word of warning, she won’t want the ground to dry out.

La Trinidad is a track specialist who has won two of his last four races – all of which were at York. There’s a chance the handicapper has him in his grip but this race could run to suit him as a few are stepping up in trip and might not this trip.

15:00 Newmarket – Romantic Time

The step up from 5f to 6f brought about good improvement in Romantic Time who won at Salisbury last time. I’m hoping the same happens with the step up to 7f now and she can get involved.

15:35 Newmarket – Benbatl

Benbatl‘s international CV says it all. He used to be a horse that wins first time out but as a seven-year-old, I’ll forgive him his pipe-opener defeat last time and hope he’s spot on for this.
