13:30 – Feigh

Hard to recall a better juvenile winners hurdle this early in the season. Realist and Too Bright can both be expected to go quite close under their penalties, but FEIGH impressed in adversarial circumstances at Killarney and could be a step ahead of her rivals. ell Ex One should go well too.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

14:00 – French Made

A very open race. Unexpose types such as Say Goodbye and Whosegotyanow are interesting, as is the much improved Molly Wedger. Brave Way did well initially in graded company last season before her form tailed off, but the one to be on could well be FRENCH MADE, a Grade 2-winning juvenile and not disgraced at Galway on returning from a long absence.

14:30 – Kilashee

The form of John Ryan’s stable was advertised when he bagged a first four-timer at Sligo on Wednesday and KILASHEE could keep the trainer’s fine run going at a track he targets in a big way. A deserved winner at Ballinrobe, she can remain competitive off 7lb higher and ought to make the unexposed Outlier work. Shes Some Doll is also relatively consistent and must be considered.

15:00 – Butterflyvespiere

This looks the better division. BUTTERFLYVESPIERE (nap) was a good third in a competitive mares’ handicap hurdle at Galway last time and that’s just about the pick of the form on offer here. Metersandmasks is far from exposed while Dympnas Well should have more to offer.

Listowel-Races

15:30 – Wall Of Fame

This should be a decent chance of Captain Kangaroo to get off the mark over hurdles but he’s spurned some good ones in the past and WALL OF FAME gets a tentative nod instead. He’s open to more improvement and is bound to relish this stamina test. Bout Time Bobby should have more to come too.

16:00 – Poseidon

Good novice hurdlers such as Slige Dala and Gevrey are interesting recruits to chasing, but the experience built up by the useful POSEIDON make him a prime candidate for a contest such as this and he should take beating.

16:30 – Ballyoisin

Hard to recall a three-runner chase as competitive as this with just a couple of pounds separating a field of Graded class performers. The Storyteller is the best horse in the race. He’s got a Grade 1 to his name and, for that, he must carry a penalty but Jordan Gainford is good value for his 5lb claim and will be a big help. However, for all that the 163-rated performer is the class act, he faces Easy Game, who comes into this off the back of a fine weight-carrying performance in the Galway Plate, and recent Ballinrobe winner BALLYOISIN. The latter is hard to get away from given he gets weight from the top two. He could prove hard to peg back.

17:00 – Tempo Chapter Two

An open affair in which TEMPO CHAPTER TWO is marginally favoured over Quantum Realm, the pair standing out for leading stables. Newcomer Ballykeeran is worth a market check.
