Three Dons and Regal Rhapsody have both shown more than enough to suggest they can win at this level but their recent efforts have been underwhelming and perhaps the answer might be ARLADY AITCH, who gave away quite a bit of ground on the turn into the straight when midfield in a Chelmsford novice on last month’s debut and has obvious potential to build on that performance. Reem Zabeel also showed promise on her debut and is second choice.

An open race in which the vote goes to James Tate’s 3yo TWILIGHT SECRET, who gave an odds-on rival a scare in a Newcastle novice two weeks ago and is an interesting contender back up in trip on his handicap debut. Another unexposed handicap newcomer Tawaazon is feared most, though last month’s C&D winners Canford Bay and Verreaux Eagle are respected. Show Me A Sunset could be dangerous if he gets a good pace and some luck, while Tathmeen also has claims if this sets up for his closing style.

The widest stall isn’t optimal for SKY BLUE THINKING but that aside she looks to have plenty to recommend her as she bids to make it 5-5 for her new stable. Far From A Ruby may give her most to think about.

Polam Lane came from well back to win at Catterick 11 days ago and his pedigree offers hope he can do even better on the AW. Silk Tie will appreciate returning to this track but ACROSS THE NILE was second in a stronger race at Kempton last month and may be the answer.
