16:40 HMS Endeavour

Navan winner HMS ENDEAVOUR may prove better suited by this trip than Pennine Hills who makes a quick appearance after finishing in a 7f Listed race at Leopardstown. Course 6f winner Anatoli takes a massive drop in class after trailing the field in Sunday’s National Stakes.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

17:10 Takana

A good run by Anatoli in the opening race would be a pointer to Redbud here, while Exquisite Acclaim has form that ties in with another runner in that event, HMS Endeavour. But perhaps the key-race is last month’s Navan event in which TAKANA finished second. She can probably uphold for with fourth-placed Pepper Streak.

17:45 Crystal Dawn

Very little separated Linus Larrabee and CRYSTAL DAWN over C&D a fortnight ago, the latter finishing strongest of all and taken to turn the tables here on identical terms. Plenty of dangers, including recent C&D maiden winner Phantom Power and progressive turf performer What A Feeling who is making her AW debut.

18:15 What Adaay

Pat Martin’s filly WHAT ADAAY has shown enough to suggest that she may improve enough to win a race like this. There was an excuse for Hightown Heights when she was an unplaced favourite at Cork, and it will be no surprise if she makes amends. Jack Berry House, Dreams Delivered and Miss Cunning have won off higher marks than this.

18:45 Boasty

This surface seems to suit BOASTY and it may be worth giving him another chance after a misfired gamble here in July. The Bog Bank has a high draw but is capable of going close judged on an improved run last time. Last week’s Cork winner Skontonovski is 9lb higher now but not out of it, though he needs to leave British AW form behind him. Burning Lake is another with a live chance.

19:15 Pin Your Hopes

Andy Oliver holds a strong hand here and perhaps the top-weighted PIN YOUR HOPES can come out best, now back at his optimum trip following a good run over shorter last time. Stablemate Blue Shadow and the in-form Dollar Value look the likely dangers.

19:45 Leo De Fury

An interesting race in which LEO DE FURY is taken to pick up something from what has been a frustrating season, having shaped a bit more encouragingly last weekend at Leopardstown. The 5yo faces a quartet of 3yos, three of which are trained by Joseph O’Brien, the most interesting being recent maiden winner Stour.

20:15 Clew Bay (NAP)

Mokhles came good over C&D last month and should confirm placings with three of today’s rivals who finished behind, but could struggle to contain CLEW BAY (nap), who looked to be crying out for this trip at Tipperary last month. Boing showed a bit more last time and could have place prospects, as could Smaoineamh Sile.
