14:55 – Glass Slippers

Last year’s winner Glass Slippers is the one for me in this. She ran a really encouraging race on her comeback run this season in the King George Stakes at Goodwood back in the end of July and has obviously been kept fresh for this since. I’m not convinced Winter Power will be able to back up his Nunthorpe win from last time and the Irish sprinters look an ordinary bunch so it’s Glass Slippers for me!

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

15:30 – Homeless Songs

Agartha has improved since Homeless Songs beat her in Leopardstown in July, but the way Homeless Songs won that day would tell me that even with Agartha’s improvement since she’ll do well to turn over Dermot Weld’s filly here. It was interesting that Dermot mentioned the Moyglare in the aftermath of that race, indicating how high regard he holds her in and with improvement to come she may prove tough to beat.

16:05 – Point Lonsdale

It’s very hard to get away from Point Lonsdale, who seems to be getting more professional with each race and although Charlie Appleby sent over Pinatubo to win this two season back I find it hard to see Native Trail turning him over here. To me, he looks more of a three-year-old type but I’m hoping he might give Point Lonsdale a race to make it a spectacle.

Ryan McCue’s best bets:

14:55 – Glass Slippers
15:30 – Homeless Songs
16:05 – Point Lonsdale
