16:13 – Wind Your Neck In
Island Bandit was always in the right place when springing a 125-1 shock in an ordinary Newbury maiden last month and he’ll need to improve to defy a penalty. User Kindly should do better for a yard having a decent season with 2yos, but there was a deal of promise in WIND YOUR NECK IN’s debut third over C&D last week and he’s the one to beat.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
16:45 – My Little Tip
Clive Cox and Richard Hannon are both double handed in a nursery in which almost half the field are going beyond sprint trips for the first time. MY LITTLE TIP and Lucrosa have similar profiles, both having improved for the step up to this distance on their nursery debuts having pulled hard in earlier runs over shorter, and preference is for the former, whose yard has had a cracking season with juveniles.
17:15 – Banana
This mark is surely within range for Rosa Mystica, who was well backed when coming away with an unexposed winner on the AW last weekend, but BANANA (nap) is open to more improvement after a solid effort recently when back from four months off and looks the one to be with.

17:45 – Nurse Florence
Kodi Gold readily landed a gamble on his debut for David Evans last time but he’s drawn wide in a better race off a 6lb higher mark and there are alternatives. Bungledupinblue remains on a fair mark now back in form but preference is for NURSE FLORENCE, who has a weights turnaround with Kempton winner Pinball Wizard, in the hope she gets one of her better breaks and settles.
18:15 – Berkshire Rocco
A year on from his St Leger near-miss, it’s hard to get away from BERKSHIRE ROCCO, who would have been 11lb and more worse off all round were this a handicap and who should have too much class back from an absence. Quickthorn is much his biggest threat.
18:45 – Eikonix
The further step up in trip should suit EIKONIX, whose dam won over middle distances, and he can defy a penalty for last month’s Tapeta win. Tres Speciale, who was turned over at a very short price last time, could be the one to give him most to do.
