Rose Hip is on her last winning mark and rates a big danger but AUTUMN FLIGHT is handicapped to win again with Harry Burns taking 5lb off this back. The other three all have questions to answer.

This is easier than nurseries at Glorious Goodwood and York and WHITEFEATHERSFALL (nap) can make a bold bid off top weight. The ground was good to soft when behind New Pursuit the time before and on his fast-ground second to subsequent Listed winner Albahr at Haydock in June (Tartan Chief 7l behind) he’s not badly handicapped. Uncs is the second choice.

The selection is FLAUNT who ran well behind a talented stablemate at Newbury and has more to offer over this longer trip. Pretty Sweet is marginally preferred to Breccia for the forecast.

Michael Bell’s horses are running well and BARENBOIM has been knocking on the door in stronger contests than this. Kelmscott has raised his game the last twice in Brighton handicaps and if taking to the new headgear then he may prove most troublesome. Pure Bubbles is next best.
19:15 Crystal Guard
A chance is taken on CRYSTAL GUARD, who looks a tricky customer but has the talent to win off his current mark. As he may take some knowing it bodes well that Hollie Doyle maintains the partnership after their third here last time. Cuban Cigar has to be on the shortlist off the same mark as for his recent AW win, while Wholelotafun is another with claims.
