CLONDAW BERTIE remains promising and seems to have found a strangely uncompetitive race for this venue in September. He can make all. Were anyone else training her, Braganzap might be put in at 100-1; she’s hard to assess.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
16:35 – Toms Courage
A competitive event but TOMS COURAGE was a good fourth here on his return and he’s the type to bounce back from a below par effort last time out. Outlier is an obvious danger on just her third career start and she’s the main danger if she settles better this time. Lady De Vesci should be in the mix again and Son Of Hypnos should appreciate a return to this trip.
17:05 – Jazzaway
Hard to look beyond JAZZAWAY (NAP) with the mare well-weighted. She should win. Thosedaysaregone has a chance under a good claimer while Quirt Evans is holding his form.
17:40 – Lady Llerom
LADY L’LEROM would appear one of the more solid contenders in at the bottom of the weights and is clearly handicapped to win races if good enough. Captain Jimmy is one of many dangers in a typically open race for the grade.
18:10 – Oskar High
OSKAR HIGH will be hard to beat off the back of his Sligo success and is taken to repel Dundeedy Lad and A Different World who is better than what he showed last time.
18:40 – Noble Yeats
This has the makings of an exciting little race. Former Coral Cup winner Bleu Berry ran well here at the festival on his chasing debut while last season’s Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle runner-up at Cheltenham Magic Daze is a fascinating recruit to this game. It won’t be easy to give that rival weight but NOBLE YEATS could be up to the task and is a good horse in his own right.
19:10 – Doldido
An open event with the tentative vote going the way of DOLDIO who has shown promise over fences at times and has been running okay from his higher hurdle mark of late. Cailean’s Angel is another who can operate from a reduced chase mark and it’s worth putting a line through her latest effort. Arctic Light and Twilight Girl are both last time out winners who haven’t been treated too harshly by the handicapper.
19:40 – Moon Rise Beauty
De Lady In Red and Angelsworknovrtime have the best form on offer but it’s not a strong standard and it might be worth taking a chance on the newcomer MOON RISE BEAUTY for a yard with a 42% strike-rate in bumpers this term.
