East Street Revue, who had an excuse at Carlisle, has a fine record here and should make a bold bid to follow up last year’s success in this race, but his stablemate SYMBOL OF HOPE has fewer miles on the clock and tops the list. Another to shape better than the result at the Cumbrian venue last time, he had previously won in good style over C&D and a 4lb higher mark does not look insurmountable. Arnold and Not On Your Nellie complete the shortlist.

The oldest in the line-up, the well-handicapped ayadh shaped as if ready to strike over C&D two outings ago and looks the main danger to RAINS OF CASTAMERE who had been progressing well prior to spoiling his chance with a slow start last time. Ugo Gregory and Tangled have possibilities too.
