She gets the nod to confirm the promise of that run and come out on top. Breezyandbright is feared most, ahead of Polam Lane and Alehandro.

13:30 – Delphinus

This race revolves around well-bred debutante DELPHINUS, who represents powerful connections and an entry in the Fillies’ Mile suggests that she’s been showing the right signs in her homework. The hint should be taken if the market speaks in her favour. Stablemate Ephrata can be expected to benefit from this step up in trip, but that remark also applies to My Silent Song and she is second choice.

14:00 – Oriental Art

ORIENTAL ART leaves the impression he has a bigger effort in the locker and gets the vote ahead of last week’s Wolverhampton runner-up Silvestris, who once again has William Buick doing the steering. Gold Arch can also figure, while Ace Rothstein needs a betting check now handicapping after an absence.

14:30 – Mystic Dragon

It took MYSTIC DRAGON a while to hit the target, but she did so in decisive fashion at the seventeenth attempt over this C&D last time. Providing the ground doesn’t deteriorate, she may well be capable of following up off this 5 lb higher mark. Shyjack was rewarded for his consistency when striking here recently, but stablemate Flower of Thunder and Manfadh could be the main dangers.

15:00 – Farhh To Shy

FARHH TO SHY has progressed with each of her 3 starts, pulling well clear of the rest when just touched off by a William Haggas filly in a 6f novice here last time. With an extra furlong to travel this time, further improvement is likely now handicapping and she gets the nod. Asmund, Dashing Dick, Sir Benedict and Bobby On The Beat are all consistent and feared most in that order of preference.

15:30 – Eyes

EYES arrives on the back of a couple of good runs here in recent weeks and may be up to notching a second success. Purple Power goes off the same mark as when landing a Chelmsford apprentice race on Saturday so he’s feared most ahead of last week’s Catterick second Jakacan.

16:00 – Almadrina

ALMADRINA found her run of good form coming to a halt at Chelmsford 3 weeks ago but she was ridden too aggressively upped in trip that day so is worth another chance. Little Sunflower showed improved form here the last twice, winning over C&D before a close third over 6f 3 weeks ago, and is another to consider. Rockesbury is best of the others.

16:35 – Lady Dauphin

LADY DAUPHIN has made a promising start for this yard, going close over 9f here last time, and a first win in handicap company looks within her grasp. Raha took a small step back in the right direction from a career-low mark when fourth at Salisbury and may emerge as the biggest threat eased another 2 lb. Habanero Star and Available Angel should also go well.
