NEW TO PADDY POWER?

Golden Pal, Suesa, Winter Power and Dragon Symbol are among the 15 rapid runners declared for the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes.

Paddy’s got his pals together to deliver their tips for the 5f contest and you can find their best bets below.

Matt Chapman: “It might just be the day for DRAGON SYMBOL. The disqualified Commonwealth Cup hero has since been second in the July Cup and runner-up to Suesa at Goodwood where a slow start did not help. I’d hope Oisin Murphy gets the Archie Watson challenger out quicker here and he is a great each-way bet. After a fair start I want him just tucked in behind a furious pace and pounce late.”

Mick Fitzgerald:SUESA is very fast but appreciates some cut in the ground. We don’t know that she won’t appreciate good ground just as much! I was super-impressed with her at Goodwood as she beat some solid yardsticks.”

Jason Weaver:GOLDEN PAL has not stopped winning since an unlucky second at Royal Ascot last season. Frankie Dettori gets the call, which is always a positive, and surely this American speedball will have too many gears for the home talent in this division? I might have a sneaky couple of quid on CHIPOTLE each way at the price Paddy is offering as he gets a whopping weight-for-age allowance.”

Timeform:SUESA looked something special when swooping late to land Goodwood’s King George Stakes by three lengths and she will take some stopping with the race likely to be teed up for her again. Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint winner Golden Pal, who rates the biggest form threat, and fellow front-runner Winter Power, who goes really well here, appeal as the two to chase home the flying French filly.”

Paddy Power:WINTER POWER is a really consistent horse that is a lovely each-way price. The ground is spot on and he’s won twice at York so far this year. It’s a Group 1 sprint, but what’s not to like?!”
