13:50 Hurricane Ivor

Hurricane Ivor disappointed in the Stewards’ Cup but he had looked like a sprinter going places before that and is worth another chance back on a sound surface. He shared the spoils at Sandown and then posted an eye-catching effort when runner-up at Ascot, slamming the runners on his side but narrowly losing out to one who raced in the favoured group. The turn of foot Hurricane Ivor produced to power clear of those on his side identified him as a well-handicapped sprinter.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

14:25 Noble Truth

Noble Truth, a €1.1 million purchase as a yearling, offered plenty to work with when third on debut behind subsequent July Stakes winner Lusail. He built on that as anticipated back at Newmarket, beating the reopposing Ehraz by a couple of lengths in a red-hot maiden, and he is an exciting prospect who can take this step up in class in his stride.

15:00 High Definition

High Definition failed to fire when a beaten favourite in the Irish Derby but his previous third behind Hurricane Lane in the Dante Stakes is a good piece of form. High Definition, a winner on both starts as a juvenile, didn’t have the ideal preparation ahead of his seasonal reappearance in the Dante, but he stayed on in encouraging fashion, shaping like a colt who would benefit from stepping up in trip. He clearly didn’t give his running in the Irish Derby but is worth another chance to build on the promise of his Dante effort.

15:35 Mishriff

Mishriff progressed well last season, notably winning the French Derby, and he raised his game another notch earlier this year when landing the Saudi Cup and Sheema Classic. He shaped like needing the run when only third behind St Mark’s Basilica in the Eclipse but was back to his best when chasing home Derby winner Adayar in the King George last time. Mishriff was a length and three-quarters in advance of Love and can confirm that form here.

16:10 Arcadian Sunrise

Arcadian Sunrise has been in good form of late and posted a career-best effort over hurdles at Galway last month, staying on well to get up close home. He is potentially well handicapped in this sphere if able to replicate that sort of form.

16:45 Tenaya Canyon

Tenaya Canyon is a filly on the up and she posted a career-best effort when successful at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago. Tenaya Canyon was well on top at the finish at Doncaster, proving full value for her three-quarter-length success, and a 5 lb rise may not be enough to stop her following up.

17:20 Bosh

Bosh has shown run-by-run improvement and can make a successful handicap debut. He built on a promising debut effort when successful over this course and distance, and he then impressed when defying a penalty at Newbury. Bosh raised his game again when runner-up in a valuable event at Naas earlier this month, finding only an exciting prospect too strong, and he remains open to further improvement.
