There are seven meetings taking place in the UK and Ireland and the action starts from 1pm on the all-weather at Wolverhampton. Newbury‘s eight-race card – including the Listed St Hugh’s Stakes – is hot on the heels at the curious time of 1.07pm before Nottingham gets going from 1.15pm. Newmarket and Thirsk take over the baton in the evening.

On the other side of the Irish Sea, the Curragh has a classy Flat card – featuring the Group 3 Irish St Leger Trial Stakes – from 4.25pm, while Jumps fans can get their fix at Tramore as they host the second day of their four-day August Festival.

The Sun’s main man Templegate continues to lead the way and is backing Park Street in the 1.40pm at Newbury. Siyata – 2.45pm at Newbury – is a popular pick with the pundits attracting supporting from six of them ahead of today’s run.
