Who are the racing boffins really backing today? Well, Paddy’s done the hard graft and collected all their NAPs and presented them beautifully in a snazzy table below.

You couldn’t be more wrong if you thought it was any old Thursday in the horse racing world. We’re in for a right treat with a pair of Pattern races on either side of the Irish Sea.

Leopardstown boasts a card including the Group 3 Desmond Stakes, with Royal Ascot winner Create Belief declared, and Listed Vinnie Roe Stakes among the seven races.

Salisbury‘s Group 3, the Sovereign Stakes, has a £38,279 prize for the winner and a host of classy performers including Oh This Is Us, Sir Busker and Solid Stone are set to run.

Ffos Las and Beverley also host afternoon cards, there’s Racing League action on the all-weather at Lingfield, while Chelmsford gets involved in the evening fun. If that’s not enough it’s also the first day of Tramore‘s August Festival which kicks off with seven National Hunt races from 5.15pm.
