17:15 – Unfoolish

Although she was beaten some 8l on her handicap debut, UNFOOLISH (nap) faces nothing of the front pair’s calibre here and she’s off 3lb lower to boot. Lower Street rates a major threat, mind, having only failed to get up over 1m at Newmarket and she’s bred to improve again for this extra yardage. Rose Tiara could also make her presence felt.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

17:45 – Last Hoorah

The best form belongs to LAST HOORAH and, unlike his rivals, he knows what it’s like to be competitive at the business end of a race. He should be very hard to beat unless one of the newcomers can step up to the plate. Of the remainder, Ha’Penny might be a greater threat than Mystical Music or Cephalus.

18:15 – Quarantini

An octet collectively just 2-51 so far this year and with risks attached. QUARANTINI has rediscovered a bit more form with each successive outing this term, notably over C&D last week, and a continuation of that trend may be enough for her to overcome another probable slow start here. Keep Right On isn’t easily predicted at present but looks really handily treated on the form of his Brighton second only three starts back, and is next most preferred ahead of Granary Queen.

18:45 – Master Grey

Hesperis is a steadily progressive 3yo and greatly feared now returned to 1m4f but MASTER GREY divided in-form opposition in a higher grade here last time, and while this shorter trip isn’t exactly a positive, he looks sure to go well again. Flammarion should win races for David Pipe, quite possibly under both codes.

19:15 – Shuthoor

Frosted Angel cost a lot of money and she could very easily provide her first-season trainer with a breakthrough winner, but the safe play is SHUTHOOR. She perhaps wasn’t seen to best effect on soft ground last time and had previously run to a respectable level on Tapeta.

19:45 – Lexington Fury

No fewer than five of these either pulled too hard or hung on their respective latest outing, so there’s plenty to take on trust behaviour-wise this time. LEXINGTON FURY‘s initial mark is on a par with the RPR for his close Wolverhampton second gained despite steering issues throughout, and he can yet prove capable of rather better if more tractable on this belated seasonal debut. Just For Yuse (if similarly racing more sparingly) and dual Nottingham winner Roman Mist are feared next most in that order.

20:15 – Al Gaiya

A really well-stocked 0-65 full of in-form contenders. The four-timer seeking Yanifer rates obvious shortlist material off effectively just 4lb higher, as do course specialist Mabo and the born-again miler Boy In The Bar. An interesting alternative to all these, however, could prove to be AL GAIYA who has been dropped 2lb despite chasing home two next-time scorers on much her best effort of the season last month.
