The Roger Varian-trained 3yo PRAIANO has plenty of potential in his pedigree and can make a winning handicap debut. The lightly raced mare Atalanta Breeze goes well fresh and is feared most following a break, while Whitehaven has to be respected following his good second at Haydock on Friday night.

Jeans Maite did it very well at Thirsk but there are doubts about her repeating that form on this softer surface. TWELVE DIAMONDS, however, should be thankful for getting away from fast ground, and prior to last time she had been running well for her new yard. Atyaaf and Cazeva Princess are others with claims.

Dajraan has produced back-to-back career-bests from nowhere but whether he can continue his progression on this slower ground remains to be seen. Wizard D’Amour is a very solid alternative off the same mark as when second at York but a chance is taken that wind surgery can trigger a return to form from SADIQAA who was a pretty smart 2yo.

A handful of in-form runners, none more so than DANIEL DERONDA who defied a similarly big weight in quite taking style over this C&D recently and is arguably a more likely improver than any of his rivals. Kick On Kick On did well on his first attempt at 7f but he needs to show he can do it again, especially if this proves more of a test and Foxy Femme appeals as the main danger. Almost An Angel and Hachert are also likely to be involved.
