Horse Racing tips: 7 sweet selections at Brighton today

Street Parade ended a long losing run with his brave win at Sandown and is respected off his revised mark. Boom The Groom looks interesting on his drop back in grade, while Second Collection could be a big factor if things go more to plan than they did at Windsor last time.

However, slight preference is for 15-time winner SHAMSHON, who is generally reliable and has form figures of 213233 over this course and distance.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

14:25 Jaffathegaffa

Most of the runners come with risks attached in this trappy race. But, it might be worth siding with JAFFATHEGAFFA, who has not been with Gary Moore for long and is a big player if he can recapture the form of his third in a course and distance handicap on his penultimate run.

Rainbow Sign is feared most, although Rinty Maginty has gone close in a classified event here this season and could make a bold bid on this drop back in trip.

15:00 Junoesque

It’s hard to rule out any of these, but top of the list is JUNOESQUE – who made it 5-10 at this track when making all over course and distance last month and remains feasibly treated off only 2lbs higher. Beau Geste finished well to score with something in hand over 1m here last time and he’s feared most on this step back up in trip. Third choice is the versatile Selecto, who went close on his return to 1m 2f at Epsom last week.

15:35 Esspeegee

Multiple course winner ESSPEEGEE (NAP) turned things around with a close call over course and distance three weeks ago when he pulled well clear of the third. He remains well treated off only 2lbs higher here and gets the vote ahead Seagulls Nest, who returned to form with a creditable third at Windsor and is a big player if she can back that up.

16:10 Kayfast Warrior

There are plenty of in-form contenders, but the most striking one is the major improver KAYFAST WARRIOR. He escapes a penalty for his runaway win at Sandown and should take some stopping in his bid to make it six wins from his last seven starts.

Second choice is the lightly raced Mercurius Power, who gained a narrow verdict over the selection at Chepstow last month and is open to more progress. Another last-time-out winner Zulu Girl is respected, while others on the shortlist are Zwelela, Chief Of Staff and De Vegas Kid.

16:45 Incorrigible

Tony Carroll has claims with both Doctor Nuno and Eastern Star, while Pentimento, Confrerie and Bartat can also have their cases argued. INCORRIGIBLE has been threatening a breakthrough win this summer though and this could be her day to shine.

17:20 Praise Of Shadows

Preference is for PRAISE Of SHADOWS, who didn’t get much luck before finishing well to go close at Wolverhampton last week and is on the same mark here on his switch back to turf. The main danger is Merry Secret, who has had a productive time this season and should make another bold bid back in a sprint handicap.
