Only five runners but this is still likely to be fast and furious. Que Amoro may yet bounce back to form with front-running tactics readopted, while fellow pacesetter El Astronaute was second 12 months ago and ran a cracker at Goodwood earlier in the week. But the vote goes to EMARAATY ANA who can benefit from a drop in grade having contested Group races on his last four starts.
19:20 Artistic Rifles
A poor run at York would need to be forgiven but ARTISTIC RIFLES was thriving before that and is taken to resume his improvement with a win in a tight race. C&D winner Jump The Gun may provide the sternest resistance, with Marie’s Diamond third on the list.
19:50 Mi Capricho
Strong contenders are thin on the ground, and this looks a good opportunity for the consistent MI CAPRICHO to get back on the winning trail after a fine effort when ridden more positively than usual at Ayr on Monday. C&D winner Havana Party is a clear second choice.

Five in-form contenders make this a tricky puzzle to solve, but the least exposed runner is CEDAR RAPIDS with just four races under his belt, and if he can progress again from his second to a progressive sort at Doncaster he’ll be the one to beat. Battle Angel, 1-1 for Mark Walford, is much feared, with the 5yo Euro Implosion third on the list.
20:50 Temper Trap (NAP)
The winner of a division of this race last year, TEMPER TRAP (nap) shaped as if running into form last time and is clear first choice. Castle View still has untapped potential and is dangerous in a first-time visor. The in-form Chinese Spirit completes the shortlist.
