Roger Teal’s CHIPSTEAD (nap) is nothing like so talented as his brother Oxted but he’s run two good races in Windsor handicaps and the stiffer stamina test of the July course should suit him. The second choice is Hello Me who was a good 2yo and seems to be finding her feet in handicaps. Any rain would solidify the claims of Follow Your Heart.

Handicap debutante Ms Gandhi is by Kingman and out of a Galileo mare, so she’s bred to be better than this and is open to bundles of improvement now sent into handicaps over middle distances. However, having been a good-while absent, she’s taken on with ADDOSH, who was in good form for Hugo Palmer prior to her recent date at the sales and she can continue her good work.
18:55 Flower Of Scotland
The prospect of rain may temper enthusiasm in last week’s Newbury winner Nellie Moon and yet it might benefit FLOWER OF SCOTLAND, who got the job done despite looking a bit awkward in the finish at Haydock. Good Soul would be very interesting if at all strong in the market on her return from a lengthy break.

It’s very difficult to see past the very well related MY ASTRA who could not have made a brighter start at Yarmouth. Pearl Bay probably didn’t beat much at Salisbury but it looked good and she’s feared most, unless Stella Maris happens to be strong in the market.

Also interesting is Quick Breath who has been running well on the AW and is 5lb lower than when runner-up in this two years ago.

The suggestion is HIGHFALUTING who has returned from a year off in good order. Although this is a belated first run over 6f, he doesn’t appear short of speed and the stiff uphill climb will help him. Tyger Bay rates a solid alternative, with last week’s Nottingham winner Abate next best.
