Six fillies are set to take to the track for the feature race on day three of Glorious Goodwood 2021.

Audarya has been replaced at the top of Paddy Power’s betting market for the Group 1 Nassau Stakes by Joan Of Arc while Lady Bowthorpe is expected to provide a stiff test.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

We’ve got the ultimate guide to Thursday’s 3.35pm at Goodwood so you’ve come to the right place to swot up on all the runners.

Audarya

Trainer: James Fanshawe Jockey: William Buick Age: 5 Weight: 9st 7lbs

Signed off a great 2020 with victory in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf and returned with an excellent second behind Love at Royal Ascot. Course winner and she’s the one to beat.

Joan Of Arc

Trainer: Aidan O’Brien Jockey: Ryan Moore Age: 3 Weight: 8st 12lbs

Another fantastically-bred Coolmore filly. Has improved with each run, putting narrow defeat to Empress Josephine behind her with victory in the Prix de Diane, relishing the longer trip. Big player.

Lady Bowthorpe

Trainer: William Jarvis Jockey: Kieran Shoemark Age: 5 Weight: 9st 7lbs

Has continued to improve this year, winning the Dahlia on return before fine runs in the Lockinge and Duke of Cambridge. Got little luck in the Falmouth and big effort expected up in trip.

Empress Josephine

Trainer: Aidan O’Brien Jockey: Frankie Dettori Age: 3 Weight: 8st 12lbs

Tremendously well-bred filly who surged home to get up late in the Irish 1000 Guineas, beating Joan of Arc. Not so good in the Coronation though, finishing weakly. Could bounce back under Dettori.

Zeyaadah

Trainer: Roger Varian Jockey: Jim Crowley Age: 3 Weight: 8st 12lbs

Building up a good strike rate, 3-3 at 2 yrs, and back to winning ways with sights lowered in Newcastle Group 3 last month, value for more than head-margin over Technique. May do better still.

Technique

Trainer: Martyn Meade Jockey: Tom Marquand Age: 3 Weight: 8st 12lbs

Debut winner over this trip at Wolverhampton in January and back on track when second in Newcastle Group 3 last month, edged out by Zeyaadah. Tons more needed to land a blow here.
