Racing is well and truly back, people. After a storming day 1 on Tuesday, Goodwood has never looked more glorious following the long-awaited return to capacity crowds in East Sussex.
Not even the anticipated rain can dampen the mood and Paddy’s sent up the Bat Signal once again to assemble the best team of tipsters on the planet for our legendary Cheat Sheet on Wednesday. That’s right, we’ve got Matt Chapman, Mick Fitzgerald, Jason Weaver, Timeform and Paddy Power himself to help fill out our Goodwood cheat sheet.
We’ve only just scratched the surface at Goodwood so saddle up and get stuck into our bite-size best bets for every race on day two. And do you know what the best bit is? Paddy’s panel will return every day of Glorious Goodwood to help you mark your cards for the festival right here on PP News.
The Sussex Stakes is the big race of the day and Poetic Flare gets the nod from four of our panel but Matt Chapman is the outlier and he’s tipped up an each-way play, Snow Lantern.
Here’s his verdict: “Snow Lantern is a sound each-way bet against the favourite Poetic Flare for Richard Hannon and Jamie Spencer. She settles so much better now.”
However, there’s a reason Poetic Flare is so fancied, as Jason Weaver explains: “He’s a short price, but it’s very hard to oppose Poetic Flare for the mighty Jim Bolger outfit.”
The Sussex Stakes is the most anticipated race on the cards but there’s a super six more to get stuck into and we’ve got you covered on the Cheat Sheet.
