13:50 Newbury – Real World

We will soon find out if it was a freak performance in the Hunt Cup on REAL WORLD’s first start back on grass having been campaigned mainly on the artificial surface in Dubai. When you watch that race at Ascot again, he looks like he’s got a head start as he won that easily. You’d love to see if he can do that again. Stormy Antarctic and Felix are worthy opponents, so he won’t have it all his own way.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

14:05 Market Rasen – Mrs Hyde (Each-Way)

Camprond is currently favourite for this and this son of Lope De Vega ran a very good race at Aintree  going down narrowly to a smart sort. He then ran equally as well at Haydock in a ultra-competitive affair. He looks to have a very strong chance in here, with plenty of pace for him to aim at. The only worry is he can make costly mistakes.

I am going to take a chance on MRS HYDE each-way. I feel she is overpriced in here and is much better going right-handed as she showed when winning at Kempton. She will handle the hustle and bustle, and I feel she has a decent chance.

14:40 Market Rasen – Francky Du Berlais

Peter Bowen has a very good record in this contest and he has FRANCKY DU BERLAIS in here, who won in determined fashion at Uttoxeter. He is versatile on ground and he stayed on well at Cartmel behind a couple of these. James Bowen rides and he is a very solid bet in a competitive race.

Fire Away has gone from winning his first race last season off a mark of 98, to now racing in here on a mark of 137 and he still has a chance in here. Exelerator Express is another with a chance, while your likely favourite is Captain Tom Cat. He has won all three starts over fences, but is going from a mark of 125 to a mark of 147. He is a solid jumper though, and that will help.

15:00 Newbury – Diligent Harry

Clive Cox has done really well with his sprinters in recent years and DILIGENT HARRY ran well in the Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle. Back on turf, I reckon we’ll see some of the form that he was showing us this earlier in year when he finished a short head behind Wokingham Stakes winner Rohaan at Lingfield. Kings Lynn is the obvious one that punters will like, but I am willing to take a punt on Diligent Harry.

15:10 Market Rasen – Giovanni Change

Mark Walford trains GIOVANNI CHANGE and he had a warm-up run on the Flat at Catterick, where he finished sixth in a maiden. Prior to that, he had ran really well in a hot race at Aintree won by a smart sort in Proschema. That is strong form, and I take him to win over The Distant Lady – who got back on the winning trail at Newton Abbott a few weeks ago.

Mick Fitzgerald’s tips summary:

13:50 Newbury – Real World
14:05 Market Rasen – Mrs Hyde (Each-Way)
14:40 Market Rasen – Francky Du Berlais
15:00 Newbury – Diligent Harry
15:10 Market Rasen – Giovanni Change
