Missile ran well on her handicap debut and may yet rate higher, while Liberty Warrior is unexposed and Jebel Dukhan is capable in spite of his quirks. NATURAL COLOUR shaped with much more promise last time though and she can make a winning handicap debut.

17:30 – Baileys Liberty

There’s a chance Sassy Rascal might be a lot better than these with her debut experience under her belt, but judged on bare form she has a lot to find with BAILEYS LIBERTY and it may pay to stick with the standard setter. Poderoso should prove best of the remainder.

18:05 – El Picaro

It’s hard to get away from EL PICARO, who has run some solid races over this trip and his race sharpness means he has less to prove than the reappearing Bake. The pair should have it between them in what looks a particularly weak race for the grade.

18:35 – Noble Patron

A tough call between the two, but narrow preference is for NOBLE PATRON ahead of Super Over. The Simon & Ed Crisford-trained runner has dropped in the weights and may be able to cash in now down in trip. Old News might prove best of the rest.

19:05 – Mejthaam

It might be worth giving MEJTHAAM another chance to prove herself on turf. She performed well on her debut on this surface at York last time after racing with the choke out and has more to offer. Emperor Spirit looks the main danger, ahead of Desert Gulf.

19:35 – At Your Service

A devilishly difficult race with many of these out of form. It’s hard to be confident about anything, so maybe an each-way play on C&D winner AT YOUR SERVICE is the best option. He gets a very tentative vote ahead of the in-form pair Love Baileys and Lincoln Red.

20:05 – Portelet Bay

This looks quite competitive for the grade with Hard Solution, Knockabout Queen and Admirable Lad all coming here in form. PORTELET BAY (nap) has had excuses since his good second at Thirsk in April and he might prove the answer with a visor tried for the first time.

20:35 – Lucky Ava

Pretty Shiftwell is unexposed and doesn’t look overburdened for her handicap debut and she’s more appealing than many. Coley’s Koko and LUCKY AVA are both better than they showed last time and the latter is given another chance on turf.
