13:00 – Doonbeg Farmer
More grounds for optimism than a combined record this year of 0-51 might at first suggest. DOONBEG FARMER opened up further options with a keeping-on second here last week that proved effectiveness with cut, and this usually held-up performer could have this set up for him if the likes of Productive or Sognatore take each other on up front. Old rivals Dusk Chorus and Roby Mill are preferred of the remainder in that order.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:35 – Yesyes
Ralph Beckett’s well-bred filly YESYES recorded a first RPR of 86 when scoring in good style on soft ground at Haydock last month and looks a strong contender under a penalty in her bid to make it 2-2. Oceans Meet went close at Newcastle on her debut last August and she’s feared most on her comeback, though the newcomer Absolutely Divine has a striking pedigree and needs checking in the market.
14:10 – Tigerten
No surprise if the trip takes more getting than on the inaugural running of this event in 2019 (good to firm). TIGERTEN‘s career-best effort in victory at Chepstow last time likely came in spite of the quick ground, and previous fine placed efforts in marathon handicaps with give underfoot make him easy to warm to with Oisin Murphy up again. Van Meegeren is totally unexposed in handicaps, and rates the danger if literally able to go the extra mile.
14:45 – Meydan Rose
Having done it in good style at Chepstow 15 days ago on her second start, MEYDAN ROSE is taken to defy a penalty and follow up. She’s The Danger is the other filly with experience and has also shown promise, but the main threat may come from the Mark Johnston-trained debutante Outside World. Fellow newcomers Ower Independence and Pearl Glory could also go well.

15:20 – Jessie Pye
The one that appeals most is the lightly raced JESSIE PYE, who produced a strong finish when runner-up on soft ground on her handicap debut at Windsor and is open to further progress on this step back up in trip. The main danger is Rania, who caught the eye with her third from off the pace at Leicester and is well treated if she can build on that. Another key player is Silver Nemo, who has form figures of 211224 since February, including a second in the mud over C&D in May.
15:55 – Captain Jameson
The case for the thriving Flip Mode is clearly strong, considering effectiveness over 6f on slow ground was proven off today’s official mark only nine days ago and few of his rivals convince at present. CAPTAIN JAMESON is one exception, however, and off a mark that’s similarly not yet been touched following a fine recent effort (and the same one he nearly defied on soft in May), he’s taken to gain an overdue fourth career success. Moosmee rounds of the shortlist.
16:30 – Holbache
The front-running 3yo HOLBACHE (nap) won with something to spare under Mollie Phillips at Bath last Wednesday and this looks a great opportunity for him to follow up under a 6lb penalty. The lightly raced 4yo Hyba has shown promise among some quirks and could have more to offer. She is second choice, while the consistent Katherine Place could go well if conditions suit (unraced on slow ground).
