15:30 – Cottam Lane
Bit of a tricky event this one but I’m going to go with Cottam Lane, who’s trained by Kevin Ryan. He finished fourth at York in June and that form looks good. The winner Mr Wagyu was just beaten at York last weekend. That form is the best on offer and the yard’s having a great season. I really like the look of the three-year-olds against the older horses so it’s Cottam Lane for me.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
16:05 – Fast Medicine
Quite a few of these are coming into this one on the back of the win and that includes Fast Medicine, who won at Chelmsford. He makes his handicap debut in this one but he’s a front runner and that can be key at Catterick. Pace tends to hold up even if they’re going quite fast. He’s got the weight allowance and he’s the only three-year-old in the field so hopefully that’ll make the difference.
17:10 – One More Su
One More Su was ridden by an inexperienced apprentice at Windsor and he made a big move from the back of the field. I think the jockey made that move a little early so it didn’t help One More Su. The yard’s in good form and if Lewis Kent can hold onto him for a bit longer then he could be onto a winner.
