Vermilion Cliffs won his maiden for Aidan O’Brien last October and was subsequently sent to Denis Hogan. He made a good start to his hurdling career when finishing third at Wexford last month. He was given a quiet enough ride that day, so I’d expect plenty of improvement and this doesn’t look a strong race, so he should get off the mark over hurdles.
19:05 Kilbeggan – Shanwalla
Go Another One has to give plenty of weight away and it leaves Shanwalla, who was a course and distance winner last time in off a lovely weight with Jack Gilligan taking off a valuable 7lbs. He’s been placed off higher marks than this in the past and this course seems to suit him. Front runners have a good record around here, so he shouldn’t be far away.
