True Courage sets the standard with the way he completed his double at 1m4f on Saturday and there’s little to no doubt that he will have the stamina for 1m4f. This is a quick return to action, however, and there is potential among his rivals, headed by SANS PRETENTION who responded well last time to win a 1m4f maiden. Amalfi Bay was not greatly competitive on his handicap debut over that trip last time but shaped as if he had more to give over a longer distance such as this, while Lady Pacifico appears to bring no stamina doubts.
15:40 Tropical Cyclone
The most solid claims appear to come with TROPICAL CYCLONE who produced her best form when running on well over 1m4f last time. By Jove could be a threat, though, after his nearly five months off, judged on what he did at the same stage last season, and Modern Beauty is a handicap newcomer.

My Astra could be the pick of the newcomers but RANI OF JHANSI and Ocean Wave may dominate after shaping so well in their latest races. With plenty of rain about preference is for the Simcock filly, who has soft-ground form.

Nigel Tinkler’s recent course winner CMON CMON is as appealing as any of these in his current form. G’Daay is the one open to improvement after running his best race yet last time out. Hi Ho Silver should also be in the mix.
