The market should be checked regarding AW winner Catbird Seat on his hurdle debut but I’M SO BUSY sets a good standard on his best form and his recent win here should have been a confidence-giver. Matewan is another hurdle newcomer who makes some appeal on his Flat form though he has been off for a while and represents a new trainer.
NEW TO PADDY POWER
18:15 – Goldencard
The most solid option is clearly GOLDENCARD (nap) and he can supplement his recent Fontwell success. I’m On Snap has to prove she can handle fences but she is worth considering, along with Rebel Leader who is dropping in trip. Alburn is one at a bigger price who could figure.
18:45 – Follow Your Fire
It’s probably best to focus on the two recent winners FOLLOW YOUR FIRE and Pillar Of Steel who both looked capable of further success when securing their latest victories. Preference for the former is only minimal. Placedela Concorde is best of the rest.
19:15 – Ballyvic Boru
It was only nine days ago but BALLYVIC BORU was slightly unlucky to lose a tougher race over C&D last time out and he can gain compensation if matching that form. Peterborough could be the one to take advantage if this comes too soon for the selection.

Fergal O’Brien has done well with AS HIGH SAY and he has found another good opportunity for his mare. A repeat of her latest chase success should be good enough in this company and she will have no trouble switching back to hurdles. Gavrocheka looked hard work when winning last time but she is still the main threat off an unchanged mark.
20:15 – Wigglesworth
Natural Look is a potential improver now hurdling and wouldn’t need to be a superstar to figure in this moderate company but preference is for the proven ability of WIGGLESWORTH, who showed the benefit of wind surgery when second last time. Rumble B is third choice.
20:45 – Black Anthem
Warren Greatrex has two leading contenders in Drumlee Watar and Bailarico, especially if there is rain around, but it might be worth going with the more speculative BLACK ANTHEM who can probably be excused two recent chase flops and is more versatile ground-wise.
