17:50 Zest Of Zambia
Wilfy is respected with conditions to suit and blinkers back on but lightly raced ZEST OF ZAMBIA may be capable of better yet, having given a bold show on her reappearance in 2020 as well as a later race at Windsor, and now making her debut for an in-form yard. Star Of Valour is on a winning mark and is also of interest for his new trainer with the booking of Tom Marquand suggesting a good run is on its way.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
18:20 Marsh Benham
The one with by far the most compelling form claims is MARSH BENHAM, who wasn’t far behind a recent Listed winner when third at Salisbury 16 days ago. Doves Cry ought to build upon her debut effort and is second choice, ahead of Strozzi. The most interesting newcomer is Bondi Man, even though he may need middle-distance trips to unlock his full potential.
18:50 Our Man In Havana
Stall 3 is a slight worry but OUR MAN IN HAVANA is the most solid option after last week’s course win. Diamond Cottage is second choice, ahead of Twice As Likely and The Chain.
19:20 Meydan Rose
General Tom Thumb sets the standard but he is vulnerable to a less exposed rival. With the benefit of previous experience, MEYDAN ROSE is the suggestion but market support for one of the newcomers would be interesting. Deacs Delight and Ha’penny are the most appealing from that group.
19:50 Didtheyleaveuoutto (NAP)
Tigerten was placed in higher-grade company on his last two outings and is respected, while very useful hurdler Teqany ought to be able to exploit his current Flat mark soon. However, DIDTHEYLEAVEUOUTTO (nap) came from off the pace to open his Flat account at Nottingham this month and his running style makes him the type the handicapper might take a while to get to grips with.

20:20 Polar Ice
Beat The Storm is a perfectly solid marker but POLAR ICE is treading a well-worn path in that he goes handicapping over a more suitable trip after showing only modest form at shorter. Sir Mark Prescott doesn’t run huge numbers here but he has a strike-rate of nearly one in three in recent years, which included Timoshenko, another handicap debutant who won this in 2018 on the first leg of a six-timer. Sisterandbrother is also open to to improvement at this trip but probably to a lesser extent than Polar Ice.
20:50 Ruskin Red
Lady Isabel impressed at Brighton last week but she is penalised in an open race on this quick return and cases can be made for several. Lucky Draw is likely to keep them all up to the mark from the word go but lightly raced RUSKIN RED has taken a steep drop in the weights and his recent eyecatching AW run suggests he can find a race sooner rather than later. Sir Canford and Triple Nickle are also respected.
