16:40 – Minister Of War

Once Upon A River sets the standard on the form of his Gowran third on debut with MINISTER OF WAR in behind but he might be vulnerable to that likely improver this time. Canters Well should progress from his debut and may prove to be best of the rest.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

17:10 – Sister Lola

Zumoradda has improved on her 2yo form this term and Pirate Lass might be able to lose the maiden tag if she can build on her career best effort last time. However, the in-form SISTER LOLA is preferred having run well in two competitive Leopardstown handicaps already this month and a new headgear combination may eke out some improvement.

17:40 – Stormy Jenn

Not many of these arrive in form and that makes Intervention of interest after his best effort for some time at Naas last week. However, it’s worth upgrading the recent placed effort from STORMY JENN who shades the vote. She did well to finish third when drawn away from the action at Cork on her reappearance and with the prospect she can come on for that run, she might be able to defy a 2lb rise.

18:10 – Katiymann

A tricky puzzle to solve but KATIYMANN has come down a long way in the weights in the last 12 months and with the chance he will come on for his reappearance, he might be worth chancing from his career-low mark. Miss Jabeam is another one who has become well treated and any support for Philly’s Hope might suggest she’s ready for her return.

18:40 – La Joconde

Plenty of promise was shown in one start by both Goodnight Kiss and Karatayka, but LA JOCONDE has shown more in maiden company, let alone in stakes company, than any of these and the standard she sets looks too high for the remainder.

19:10 – Call Me Sweetheart

Small field but an open race. C&D winner Prairie Dancer will probably appreciate coming back to this trip, while there should be more to come from Gowran runner-up Himalayan Beauty. The one to be on though looks to be CALL ME SWEETHEART(nap), who did well to win a 1m4f Curragh maiden that worked out well and could be hard to peg back if ridden positively here.

19:40 – Reve De Vol

Geometrical could be a big player if coming fully back to his best, while Layfayette and Haparanda are likely to be major contenders. Point Nepean is a fascinating runner, but the improvement shown by REVE DE VOL to win a Listed at the Curragh last time can be built upon and he will be very hard to beat.

20:10 – Euroclydon

Ballinlough Gale has been threatening to win a maiden but he was a bit disappointing last time at Sligo and it might be worth taking a chance on the mare EUROCLYDON. She’s been big prices on both her runs so far but there was definite promise at Gowran earlier this month and her pedigree suggests she could find improvement at this new trip. Similar can be said for Florence Camille who is a daughter of Galileo.
