17:30 – Greycious Girl

GREYCIOUS GIRL has been in good form throughout the spring, winning on the turf track here in May, and can gain a second career victory reverted back to the all-weather. She’s the only three-year-old in the line-up and should have too many gears for her older rivals. Silent Witness has been running well and she has to be taken seriously having won on polytrack in the past. Rockesbury can’t be ruled out under a penalty either.

18:05 – Silken Petals

SILKEN PETALS had a tricky draw at Redcar last time and she ran well in the circumstances behind a potentially smart type. She was strong in the betting that day after making a very promising start at Kempton and should take all the beating returning to polytrack in what doesn’t look a strong race. Fozzie Bear ran a good race on debut here last month and he’ll be the main danger.

18:40 – Black Sparrow

BLACK SPARROW blew the start and was never dangerous in a handicap here only three days ago. The cheekpieces she wore that day are quickly dispensed with, and the pick of her form entitles her to be competitive here, so she’s chanced to get back to winning ways dropped to a seller. Campachoochoo looks the biggest danger after finishing in front of the selection on Monday under an aggressive ride.

19:10 – Hyba

HYBA shaped well on handicap debut at Wolverhampton last month, showing enough speed to suggest she is capable of winning a race or two at this level. She should be able to improve again and can prove too good for much more exposed rivals here. Trouser The Cash hasn’t been seen since December when winning at Wolverhampton but should go close if fully fit, while Kyllukey holds each-way claims, too.

19:40 – Lowndes Square

LOWNDES SQUARE very much caught the eye on his qualifying run over six furlongs at Wolverhampton last time, leaving the impression he will be well suited by this step up in trip. His pedigrees also suggest he’ll improve further for this trip, and he makes plenty of appeal on handicap debut on his first start since being gelded. Kayfast Warrior is next on the shortlist, ahead of Final Fantasy, who should bounce back to form returned to the all-weather.

20:10 – Hala Joud

HALA JOUD was only just denied over course and distance earlier in the month and was competitive off similar marks at Dundalk earlier in the year. She may have more to come on just her third start for this yard and gets the vote. Durdle Door could bounce back returning to polytrack and looks a big danger. Final Rendezvous has a wide draw to contend with but her first win can’t be far away now.

20:40 – Kalma

KALMA looks like a progressive filly, showing improved form and having plenty in hand when winning at Wolverhampton last time, so should be able to follow up that success under a 6 lb penalty. Horsefly has to be taken seriously now she steps up in trip, while Ladywood has won over course and distance and has to be respected, too.
