The couple of US runners could be anything but I love a bit of experience for these newcomers and Second Wind has already won twice and the Haggas yard is flying, their percentages are off the chart. He’s won two and is on a hat trick. Each way at the price, why not?

Look no further than this lad. He’s top of the market but 1m 2f on top of the ground is ideal. On any sort of decent ground Mohaafeth is very good.
15:40 Annerville (E/W)
There are ground concerns about a few of the front end horses so Johnny Murtagh’s impressive Leopardstown maiden winner is worth a chance each way. I’m taking a total shot on Annerville. I think there are concerns on some at the top end. Noon Flyer, I’m not totally convinced by and Gloria Mundi, not sure how good that one is.
16:15 Emperor Of The Sun
I think it’s time for a changing of the guard and one of the four-year-olds will win the Gold Cup. Stradivarius can’t be improving and he’s been beating the same horses year in, year out. The one I’m going to take a chance with is Emperor Of The Sun. I hope the step up in trip brings out the required improvement in this lad. It’s a big price and I’m taking a chance.

Gets the mile really well and is brave when attacked. I hope the high numbers are still a good draw, he’ll be hard to pass if he gets to the front. Siam Fox is one that battles and I think that’s going to be important.
17:35 Sir Lamorak
A bit of a lazy selection but I think this is a relatively straightforward task for Sir Lamorak and this race has probably been the plan for a while for a horse who was quite highly thought of.
18:10 Boardman
Boardman has won on all types of ground and seems to be a good bit better than his rating, keep him onside for sure. The draw may be a slight concern but this is one I’ve been looking forward to all week.
