NEW TO PADDY POWER?

14.30 – Cadamosto

Day 3 of Royal Ascot on ITV begins with the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes for juveniles over 5f. CADAMOSTO looked green on debut but eventually got going to win well at Dundalk and the son of No Nay Never should have place claims at least for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore. He should be staying on strongly.

15.05 – Mohaafeth

Now the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes over 1m2f. Hard not to be all over MOHAAFETH here for William Haggas and Jim Crowley. The Frankel colt was strongly fancied for the Derby before being withdrawn on the day due to softening ground, and prior to that he had appeared a most promising type with a couple of wins at Newmarket. He has a good draw and this should be a perfect trip.

15.40 – Twisted Reality

Back to a Group 2 here with the Ribblesdale Stakes for 3yo fillies over 1m4f. TWISTED REALITY has each way claims for Oisin Murphy and Ralph Beckett. The daughter of Fastnet Rock impressed on debut at Nottingham and was fancied on her return at Newbury. As it was she was behind the re-opposing Eshaada and Gloria Mundi but stayed on nicely from off the pace without ever being placed to challenge. If the rain comes I suspect she will be a big gamble.

16.15 – Stradivarius

The feature of the day in the Group 1 Gold Cup over 2m4f. This won’t take long. STRADIVARIUS has won the last three Gold Cups as most of you will know and I fully expect him to make it four. He has a turn of foot that sets him apart from other stayers and conditions will be ideal. Frankie Dettori rides once again for the Gosdens.

17.00 – Grid

Now a competitive handicap in the Britannia Stakes over 1m for colts and geldings. GRID might run well here for Joseph O’Brien. He was an eye-catching fourth behind Bolshoi Ballet in a maiden at Leopardstown in October before finishing third at Naas and scoring at Cork. A mark of 92 looks very workable and I expect a very bold show. Have a few quid on each way.

17.35 – Kondo Isami

Handicap company again in the King George V Stakes over 1m4f. I’m going to back KONDO ISAMI each way here for Ben Curtis and Mark Johnston. What I like about this colt is that he’s got proven stamina although probably didn’t quite get home over an extended 1m6f at Doncaster last time. A handicap rating of 90 looks workable and of course the trainer has a great record in these types of events at the Royal Meeting.

18.10 – Blue Mist

Day 3 concludes with the Buckingham Palace Handicap over 7f. International Stakes winner BLUE MIST has the talent to score here if he is in the mood. Ryan Moore rides for Roger Charlton and the idea will be to deliver the gelding as late as possible. This is his course and distance and he has a handicap mark that is very fair. Eachway claims.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
