Matt Chapman: “ITV coverage of Royal Ascot starts on Day 2 with the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes for juvenile fillies over 5f. It’s very hard to weigh up who will be the best of these, but ILLUSTRATING looked good on debut.”
Jason Weaver: “From a physical point of view this daughter of No Nay Never looked a standout when reappearing on her second lifetime start up at York. NYMPHADORA put up a pretty impressive performance on that occasion and it’s interesting that Jason Watson keeps the ride as he has been out of favour with a few trainers.”
Ruby Walsh: “I’m sure Twilight Gleaming has to be respected but I like YET. She was impressive at Dundalk, got back up to beat Orinoco River and will have improved for it.”
Mick Fitzgerald: “The American two-year-olds have a strong advantage in five furlong races as they are so quick out of the gates and then seem to last home. TWILIGHT GLEAMING was like a rocket out of the stalls and won very easily when winning at Belmont on fast ground. She sets a good standard here.”
