13:10 Impeachd Alexander

A rematch of a course and distance event probably holds the key to this. Jessica Harrington’s IMPEACHD ALEXANDER ran green on her debut here three weeks ago and may reverse form with Arewecrystalclear who had the advantage of a previous run. Timiyra is interesting, though she may be not be seen to maximum effect until tackling a longer distance.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:45 Cooper’s Hawk

This will not take much winning, and perhaps a change of scene will help COOPER’S HAWK to recover his best form. His initial handicap mark of 80 signified maiden-winning potential, and though now 8lb lower he is slightly preferred to 76-rated four-year-old Stalingrad. Last season’s Dundalk third gives No Browsin a chance.

14:20 Logo Hunter (NAP)

Impressive Naas winner LOGO HUNTER (nap) has given the impression that he can win at a higher level than this and sets a high standard. His progression for Michael Browne has been such that he should cope with his former stablemate Frenetic who won two 5f Listed races at two. There may be better to come from two other three-year-old fillies Russian River and Queens Carriage.

14:55 Screen Siren

Sarah Lynam’s lightly-weighted runner SCREEN SIREN has shown her best form at this venue and does not to need to improve much in order to open her account. With Joe Murphy’s team in superb form White Lavender, a 33-1 debut winner at Navan, could go close off her opening mark. Last month’s Naas winner Mi Esperanza appeals on the grounds of consistency.

15:30 Mighty Blue

Moll’s C&D win on return is worth upgrading and she could progress from that run but preference is for MIGHTY BLUE who had excuses at York last time. She sets the standard on her impressive Listed win on her previous run and a reproduction of that run would make her had to beat. The progressive Thunder Kiss should be in the mix with another step forward.

16:00 The Names Jock

Plenty of these have claims, notably the unexposed duo of Federica Sophia who should improve up in trip and Vultan who was impressive last time. However, a chance is taken on the course winner THE NAMES JOCK who looked in need of his comeback last time out and can resume progress back up in trip.

16:35 Fit For Function

Recent C&D winner, Jm Barrie, should be thereabouts again given some luck in running and Sunday’s winner, Praying Mantis, can go well under a penalty but both are probably going to be well found in the market and it might be worth taking a chance on one at a likely bigger price. FIT FOR FUNCTION did well to finish as close as he did to Jm Barrie over C&D last time having made most of the running on his side and he still looks well enough treated on last year’s form to be involved again.

17:05 Tai Sing Yeh

Mary Salome won well at Listowel on Sunday and Navorrosse was unlucky not to win over C&D here last month but a chance is taken on TAI SING YEH. He was unsuited by a return to 6f last time out and had previously shaped well enough over this C&D to suggest his turn may be near.
