Stall 12 is not ideal but AIGUILLETTE is worth another try at this trip as it was probably the track (Brighton) that didn’t suit last time, having been running well on the AW previously. Dove Divine could be most troublesome after an encouraging latest effort.
The three winners in the field have landed wide draws but they are all open to further progress and look the ones to focus on. Silent Escape and Riknnah are greatly respected but DEGREE picked up well in the final furlong at Wolverhampton last month and may be able to follow up that success.
Amber Dew has achieved the most and she could benefit from the addition of blinkers having looked wayward at Nottingham last time. It will be no surprise if she’s good enough to win but PROFOUND ALEXANDER looks a solid alternative after her eye-catching effort at Goodwood a fortnight ago. She wouldn’t have troubled the impressive winner on that occasion but, having had to sit and suffer behind rivals for over a furlong, she did stay on takingly close home.
A race that would appear to revolve around whether MAXINE can transfer her vastly improved soft-ground form to this faster surface. She still looks feasibly treated despite a chunky rise in the weights and she is taken to handle conditions and complete the hat-trick. Act Naturally is a respected opponent, with Shamardalah one to note for market confidence.
The lightly raced and nicely bred ANGEL ON HIGH (nap) looks the type to rate higher yet. He is first choice, ahead of Pledge Of Honour then Night Bear.

Steel An Icon escapes a penalty for her Leicester success and has obvious claims but she’s not the only well-handicapped contestant. AZOR AHAI is an interesting alternative off the same mark as for his C&D win last August, while second choice Rakematiz is favourably weighted too. A few others also have possibilities.
A steady pace didn’t appear to suit ARABESCATO at Doncaster last time and he may have the same problem today, but he didn’t run badly to finish third of four in that warm little race and it looks likely that today’s contest will take less winning. He’s taken to land his fourth win of the year. Desert Friend is unexposed at 2m and is second choice, ahead of Yarmouth runner-up Tynecastle Park.
