Lots with chances in this juvenile maiden and the market will doubtless reveal plenty. Tareekh looks ready to take a step forward and it would come as no surprise to see Makalu run well after a gelding operation. Newcomers Joeyremy and Vincenco aren’t without interest either, but RUBY RED didn’t enjoy the rub of the green when a promising sixth at Redcar and David O’Meara’s Mayson filly gets the nod.
Plenty in with a shout in a very open sprint. Recent winners End Zone and Highjacked are both sure to have a say and Julie Camacho’s pair Kodikova and Burtonwood are also worth a second look. The Armed Man is always to be greatly respected here too but preference on this occasion is for MUTANAASEQ, who can make amends for an unlucky Ripon second and end a losing run.
The hat-trick-seeking Dragons Will Rise and course winner Redesdale Rebel have both been hit with 6lb rises but can’t be overlooked easily, while Kylie Rules has slipped to a handy mark and can also boast a C&D victory. However, this could be between low-mileage C&D winner Delgrey Boy and the reappearing NAT LOVE, with preference for the last-named who starts life with the in-form John Mackie on an attractive mark.
All three newcomers make some appeal on paper but they have a useful standard to aim at. Timeless Soul sets it after a ready success at Beverley last month but there are live dangers in the shape of Retrouvailles and BELIEF. The selection shaped well in a good race at Nottingham on her reappearance and remains open to further progress.

Despoina is proving a consistent sort and this step up in trip could easily unlock some more improvement but her first win might have to wait a while longer, with CAN CAN GIRL looking a filly firmly on the up and holding strong claims of adding to last month’s Beverley win.
Whitwell should make a bold bid and has place claims at least, while a case can be argued for Tippler, Le Magnifique, Major Snugfit and Trinity Star. GALIDERMES (nap) comes here in good order though and he can resume winning ways back over 1m4f.
This looks a very useful race for the grade with some in-form and progressive sprinters on show. Time Has Wings won easily at Carlisle last time and is well in under her penalty, while Tamaska chases a hat-trick and shouldn’t be underestimated. Dajraan and Enderman remain capable of better but the vote goes to UNASHAMED. He couldn’t follow up his Wolverhampton win at Ripon last time but the soft ground may not have suited and the form looks solid for the grade. With his yard continuing in good order he can gain his second success.
